My parents lived by the motto of "healthy eating, healthy living, and happiness" - values that became the cornerstone of my upbringing. Growing up in China during the late 80s, I vividly recall our trips to bustling markets, where live chickens, live fish, and an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables were the norm. Even at the tender age of five, I was well acquainted with the term "fibre" – one of my father's favourite subjects. Our breakfasts often featured nutrient-rich smoothies or milk with high fibre content, while red meat was a rare indulgence reserved for visits to friends' houses. Desserts were a weekend delight, and I was introduced to superfoods like goji berries and chia seeds by my mother, a passionate reader of nutrition books and magazines. Healthy eating wasn't just a practice; it was in my DNA.

When I became a mother myself, I embraced the wisdom and values instilled in me by my own mother. For our family, purchasing processed foods from the supermarket shelves was a resounding "NO." As I observed many of my friends opting for chicken nuggets and highly processed items for their children, I couldn't help but question the choices being made. This curiosity ignited a deeply personal mission to empower fellow parents on their journey towards healthier alternatives. The turning point occurred when another mom, feeling lost, turned to me and asked, "Where do I even begin?" It was at that moment I made the commitment to support these mothers, one family at a time. My path led me to pursue a Health and Integrative Nutrition Coaching Certificate at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York, solidifying my dedication to this project, which has now become a heartfelt passion in a world saturated with unhealthy choices.
